Updates from World Around Us Leader..Miss Hutton
Green Day:
Eco/Green day will take place on Wednesday 16th March. All children (and staff) should wear some green clothing. During the course of the day the children will take part in Eco related activities, such as paper free lessons, power down hour, waste free lunch and outdoor activities such as the daily mile. We would ask all children to contribute £1 which will go towards Eco Resources for our school.
Waste Free Lunch:
Can you help us to reduce our waste by taking part in our "Waste Free Wednesdays"? Every Wednesday earn 10 house points by bringing a Waste free lunch to school.
You could use a lunchbox with compartments, small reusable plastic containers and reusable drinks bottles.
The benefits to a plastic-free lunchbox is a reduction in the amount of waste sent to the landfill. Plastic takes up to 1,000 years to decompose.
Together we can make a difference to our environment.
