Parent Alert: Social Media Concerns
We encourage all parents to be vigilant in terms of monitoring their child’s use (if at all) of any form of social media, YOU Tube, apps, online gaming and general internet use. Quite often parents approach school with concerns regarding bullying and inappropriate use of social media which is upsetting and potentially damaging to other children. As well as this sometimes the internet is plagued with dangerous people who can hurt our children and frighten them. This occurs outside of school. We cannot stress enough the need for parental supervision in this area. We thank you for your support in this particular area of challenge in the modern world, for both parents and children. The internet is a great modern day resource but must be handled with utmost care to promote effective safeguarding, health and well being especially for children and young people.
