Handwashing to prevent the spread of Infections
7th Oct 2018
We have been advised by the Public Health Agency to promote and encourage children
to wash their hands thoroughly before and after food and also after using the toilet.
This is crucial to try to prevent the spread of infection in school and at home. We also
suggest that children’s nails are kept short so that bacteria cannot get a chance to lodge
underneath the nails. Finally we ask that girls also do not wear nail polish in school as
this can chip off and get into food etc. We thank you for your support and cooperation
in this matter.
